Background
I run an independent Workday consulting practice out of Stone Consulting Group LLC. My depth is Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence — full-lifecycle delivery from Phase 0 strategy through post-production support.
Before going independent, I was a Business & Technical Architect Manager at Accenture/DayNine and Practice Leader at Alchemy — roles where I functioned as a cross-functional architect across HCM and PATT workstreams on nearly every engagement, with PMO involvement on larger deployments. 40+ Workday deployments since 2014, ranging from mid-market to organizations with over one million employees.
That background means I understand Workday Payroll and Time the way large SIs do — but without the layers, the bench-warming, or the markup. When you engage me, you get a senior consultant hands-on from discovery through go-live.
Industry experience spans union environments, healthcare, higher education, retail, entertainment, and transportation — complex payroll territory by design.
What I Do
Full-lifecycle Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence deployment. Phase 0 strategy through go-live, including parallel payroll strategy and execution. Cross-functional architect across HCM/PATT workstreams.
Post-go-live cleanup, configuration fixes, and ongoing support. If something isn't working the way it should — retro processing, time calc issues, pay component logic — I find it and fix it. Training on the why, not just the what and how.
"Red to Green" project rescue. Deployment guidance, impact analysis, and steering committee representation. If an implementation has gone sideways, I can diagnose what's broken and build a path out.
Multi-state, multi-jurisdiction, union, commissions, and garnishments — the payroll configurations most teams haven't seen before. Parallel payroll strategy and proprietary comparison tooling for accurate, auditable go-live runs.
